This project was an unusual Timber Engineering Project demonstrating the diversity of work that we can adapt to.

Fleming Timber Structures were asked if we could come up with an off-site build solution for a Road and Pedestrian traffic bridge screen and safety barriers. Ekki, a very heavy and resilient hardwood, was chosen because of its strength and durability and sourced from Holland and then finished and built into prefabricated units in our factory. These were then erected at various locations around the Campus. 

Our success with this led to an invitation to form elements of Bridges and other features around the site. Eventually Fleming Timber Structures had teams working on site for over 6 months with many solutions developed to make the features and appearance blend in with the rest of the site.
